Join our Friends Board (or just help with projects and events)
The Botanic Garden's Friends group helps publicize and raise funds for the garden through many different activities. No experience is needed to assist the board, just a love of the garden and a desire to help. Activities include outreach and publicity, event planning, membership processing, and newsletter production. Some of these volunteer jobs can be done from your own home; others are done at the garden. Some take as little as an hour from start to finish; others are continuing periodic activities.
Friends board meetings are usually held in the garden's Visitor Center auditorium on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m., and everyone is welcome to attend. Call (510) 841-8732 to verify the meeting time and place.
